Bear in Heaven are back. This is the first album I have looked forward to them for. I got into them in 2012 during that years release. Bear in Heaven are a step up ahead of the synth pop revival pack. For a few reasons and this one shows them well. Their vocalist has a range and twang and unmistakeable voice that takes the melodies to a higher and lower place with is perfectly balanced tone that goes great with the music. That's another thing Bear in Heaven do. Melodies. They are full of them. The tracks are anthemic yet unpredictable. 'Way off' is the track that you wished gone on forever. Excellent. 'If I were alive' is another great example of their uniqueness. Hard to compare this to anything I have heard. It's like a bunch of great bands rolled up into one. Bear In Heaven get you to want to hear there entire cd when u feel like playing a song or two. And when u get to ones you might especially like you will play them quite a few times. 'Demon' shows their talent balancing electronic sounds with a drummer. Techy enough for a experienced electronic music fan yet has that rock n roll enough stadium energy enough to make you jump with the beat like a pogo stick. In a perfect world Bear in Heaven would be rock stars everyone would be talking about.
