While I like many of Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen's LPs, this one is a sleeper. I think JVDD may have wandered into the Mechanical Engineering building by mistake rather than the Arts School... This record reminds me of checking my electric meter: I can stand it for a little bit, but it just goes round and round. However, the picture disc art is spectacular. I'd go a bit further to note that there is now evidence here that it's not just rock 'n' roll that causes brain death - ambient music can do it too!
