I only heard the first "disc" of this record. A great collection of Nas lyrics over the bluesiest hip-hop instrumentals that I have ever heard. And it was great to hear Nas exchange bars with a competent femceee under the moniker of Scarlett ("Sekou Story", "Live Now"). I know with that woman's work, if it was more at the forefront of the airwaves , women in hip-hop would still not be so strongly viewed as mere novelty items. My only issue were the party tracks towards the end of this record. "Suicide Bounce" indeed, as any more tracks like these in Nas' catalog spells out career suicide. Nas needs to stick to his special brand of mystic street poetry, my ears cant stand it when he tries to make club-bangers. Perhaps that is why the title of the track is so ironic. Nas the bard, will always capture my ear - not the picture of a player.Oh ... and U.B.S. over U.B.R. any day - but Ill Bill never would have been able to inspire his "Hour of Reprisal" rendetion without Nas doing it first, and with that; "Street's Disciple" will always be noteworthy and inspirational in the culture of hip-hop.

You know that femcee is Nas right? They just altered his voice a bit.
