Fund-raising compilation album in aid of Shelter.
All acts appearing here had performed live at The Splash Club between 1994-5 and dates of their performances are provided in the liner notes. All of the tracks featured here are either live recordings, most of which come from those Splash Club performances, or 'live in the studio' sessions (ie. there's no crowd noise, like a radio session). Most, if not all, are exclusive to this release, despite only the tracks by Echobelly and Tiny Monroe being singled out as "live & exclusive" on the front sleeve. Certainly, Tiny Monroe's 'Another Station' was otherwise completely unreleased until a studio version of it appeared in 1996 on the B-side of 'Open Invitation'. As for Echobelly's 'Today, Tomorrow, Sometime, Never', the version here is exclusive, but the song itself had already appeared as the opening track on their debut album, 'Everybody's Got One', the year before.
Tracks 1 and 2 are live studio sessions, track 3 is live at The Astoria 9/3/95 and tracks 4 - 20 are all recorded at The Splash Club on various dates between 1994-5.
Two sided postcard inserted in some copies.
