I think you are confusing the vinyl pressings (first Voices From The Lake - Voices From The Lake and second Voices From The Lake - Voices From The Lake) with the CD version that we are commenting on right here. Both vinyl pressings appear to feature the same tracks. They both differ from the CD version.

I once made out with my boyfriend and when he asked me to put on some music I went for this. IIRC we made it through the whole album ;)

In my never ending search for perfection in the many genres of music I love I would say this is as close to perfection as it comes with regards to electronic music. The cd album is basically one song. Although it has an 11 song track listing in reality this is one incredible song. It's not even really a song....it's an incredibly powerful and beautiful sonic journey. I see the "Ambient Techno" tag in a lot of reviews for this. I would disagree with that description. It seems to me that because the music is so beautiful that it gets the "Ambient" tag.....make no mistake .....this is powerful music and a real work-out for any sound system out there. The 3x12" vinyl version is obviously an incredible piece of wax too....however I find that this would be the only time I have been blasting the cd instead simply due to the fact it is a single piece of music in my opinion that should not be stopped. Sure it's great to play out on vinyl but this is something to indulge yourself in. This album makes me be selfish and have it all to myself under the headphones!! In short....this album is pure geniusand as an electronic music fan you NEED it. Get it on cd AND vinyl!!
